WHO WE ARE
The Haemophilia Association of the Philippines, Inc. (HAPI) is a lay support group that provides holistic support for Person/s with Hemophilia (PwH) in the country. It is composed of PwH and their families and advocates, united and committed to improve the quality of living of people inflicted with the bleeding disorder called hemophilia.
The group basically aims to get the attention of the government and bring to its awareness that PwH are its citizens who can still become a part of a functional and productive society of the country if only given the proper care and support. Likewise, the group raises awareness about the complicated and the difficult circumstances that the bleeding disorder hemophilia may bring, through dissemination of right information and proper education to the general public regarding the illness. The association facilitates also in the acquisition of medicines needed by PwH through its linkages in other organizations or entities, may it be local or international.
Moreover, it is the association’s mission to find all undiagnosed hemophilia in the country and to maintain a roster thereof, for statistical, medical and for whatever purpose it may serve to aid in the improvement of the life of PwH. Nonetheless, the association thrives to develop and promote holistic programs that will assist and enhance the productivity and quality of living of PwH and their families.
Our Story
HAPI is a lay support group established in 1994 for people with Hemophilia (PWH).
Is is a non-profit organization composed of parents, hemophilia patients, their relatives, and advocates concerned with the medical, social, emotional, and psychological needs of the Filipino people with hemophilia.
Its aim is to reach out to the PWH and help them through proper information, proper treatment and proper education.
Vision Statement
The Haemophilia Association of the Philippines, Inc. (HAPI) envisions a self-propelling organization through:
Heathcare needs and facilities readily available to all cities and municipalities
Acquired subsidy from Philippines Government and affiliation with other non-government agencies
Patients and their loved ones empowered through proper education and care, to attain more productive lives
Informed general public
Committed people with hemophilia (PWH), afflicated families and advocates
